Early life takes many forms across the animal world. The Baby Animals Series follows cubs, calves, joeys, chicks, pups, foals, fawns, and other young creatures as they begin moving, feeding, learning, playing, and finding their place within families, groups, and habitats.
Some young animals are on their feet remarkably early, while others remain closely dependent on parents or social groups for much longer. Across species, these first stages reveal different patterns of parental care, instinct, development, adaptation, and survival.
